TORONTO, May 24, 2022 /CNW/ – Complex Canada, a division of Buzzfeed Inc.’s Complex Networks and part of the Corus Entertainment portfolio, is rolling out the red carpet for the brand’s 20th birthday with an epic flyaway contest and custom editorial features celebrating the artists, athletes, and trailblazers who have shaped Canadian culture. Canadians who follow Complex Canada on Instagram, and like and comment on the 20th birthday contest photo, will be entered to win a trip for two to ComplexCon 2022 in Long Beach, California (contest runs until June 3).

“Complex has spent 20 years championing the people, brands, and new trends you need to know now and will obsess over next while seamlessly building integrated consumer universes around them. The Canadian market has been an essential and valuable audience that helps to authenticate our position as a global youth entertainment network with unparalleled reach to millennials and Gen Z,” said Justin Killion, President, Complex Networks. “As our birthday celebration begins, we’re excited to unveil new programs that bring our audience closer to the brand. This is our way of thanking them for their continued support over the years.”
In 2002, Complex Magazine launched with the mission to highlight and champion the accelerating convergence of cultures and subcultures. Since its inception as a magazine, Complex has grown into a powerful youth entertainment network with unparalleled reach to millennials and Gen Z with over 125 million total network followers/subscribers*. Amid a growing demand for international presence and localized culture coverage, Complex Canada joined the Corus Entertainment portfolio in 2019 with a focus on celebrating Canadian contributions to convergence culture across the brand’s key categories, including streetwear and style, lifestyle, music, food, entertainment, sneakers, and sports. Today, Complex.com ranks #1 vs. key competitors in the M18-34 digital demographic in Canada** and holds top spot as the #1 lifestyle and fashion platform for the same demographic online among Canadians**.
Over the next several months, Complex Canada will publish a series of 20th birthday editorial features celebrating 20 years of cross-cultural pacesetting with Canadian trendsetters. Kicking off the coverage is a feature and photo essay with Canadian photographer and creative director Norman Wong. Over the last 20 years Wong has documented Canada’s evolving music scene, and Complex Canada is sharing a retrospective feature celebrating his work, his impact, and his legacy in Canadian culture. Other 20th birthday features coming soon include 20 Best Canadian Rap Songs of All Time, 20 Canadians Who Will Shape the Culture in the Next 20 Years, and How the Last 20 Years of Toronto’s Streetwear Scene Helped Shape the City’s Identity.
With a dynamic offering of custom client integrations and opportunities targeting key markets and demographics, Complex Canada will also debut a special episode of its award-winning series Northern Clutch, sponsored by Puma. Northern Clutch, Complex Canada’s first original series, is an award-winning docu-series that celebrates and introduces the next generation of Canadian authorities in music, sports, food, and more. In the special 20th birthday episode, Complex Canada’s Alex Narvaez sits down with Toronto songster anders, a rising star whose fan base spans several continents. The super investor still sees opportunities ahead.
In fact, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index's nearly 30% drop across the stretch marked its worst-ever start to a year. Airbnb (NASDAQ: ABNB) has already changed how the world travels and lives, and it's likely that the company's long-term growth story is still just getting started. With the stock down roughly 42% year to date and 56% from its lifetime high, investors have a chance to build a discounted position in a company with massive long-term return potential.

Going into the second half of the year, the market sentiment is growing clearer. First, there is a sense that the 1H collapse may be bottoming out – or at least falling to a plateau and a pause before further drops. Second, there is a growing consensus that a recession is in the offing, on a one-year time frame or possibly less. A minority opinion holds that a true downturn is already on us; but we won’t know for certain until the Q2 growth numbers are released later this month. What does this m
Ford Motor Co. would probably like to hide under the hood of its vehicles lately, but that might not be such a good idea with the all bad luck the automaker has faced with its vehicles. Mich., company on July 8 issued a safety recall of a total of 100,689 of its 2020-2022 Corsair, Escape and Maverick vehicles with 2.5 liter HEV/PHEV engines because of an under hood fire hazard, according to a statement it sent to UPI. "Ford is issuing a safety recall for certain vehicles with 2.5-liter HEV/PHEV engine because in the event of an engine failure, significant quantities of engine oil and/or fuel vapor may be released into the under hood environment and may migrate to and/or accumulate near ignition sources resulting in potential under hood fire, localized melting of components, or smoke," Ford said in the statement.

‘I have made an earnest attempt to get the bank to take their money back, so I was wondering if at any point or time the money would become legally mine.’
Many Americans are surprised to see they have not prepared as well as they had hoped for retirement when they finally get ready to call it quits. The bad news is, you’ll probably have to make some realistic assumptions of what your retirement will look like. If you’ve lived primarily paycheck to paycheck in your working years, that may continue to feel the case in your retirement.
Because growing investments compound, the best time to start investing is always right now. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite indexes are down a respective 18% and 26% so far this year. With that in mind, three Fool.com contributors think Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), ASML Holding (NASDAQ: ASML), and Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) are great buys right now for new investors.
GameStop's (NYSE: GME) stock surged 15% on July 7 after its board of directors approved a 4-for-1 stock split. The stock split won't change GameStop's market value or its valuation, but the decision still turned it into one of the hottest topics on Reddit's WallStreetBets subreddit again. Prior to GameStop's Reddit-fueled rally last year, its days seemed numbered.
Citi strategists think the resilience of corporate profits will surprise many later this year.
Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple ( ), has undoubtedly revived the rivalry with Tesla ( ) and its boss Elon Musk. Cook and Musk are among the most recognizable faces in tech, along with Mark Zuckerberg of social media giant Meta Platforms ( ). If Cook has often appeared discreet, Musk cultivates his character as an omnipresent and influential CEO.
NEW YORK (Reuters) -Second quarter profits at big U.S. banks are expected to fall sharply from a year earlier on increased loan loss reserves, as the pandemic recovery gives way to a possible recession. Analysts expect JPMorgan Chase & Co will report a 25% drop in profit on Thursday, while Citigroup Inc and Wells Fargo & Co will show 38% and 42% profit declines, respectively on Friday, according to Refinitiv I/B/E/S data. Bank of America Corp, which like its peers has big consumer and business lending franchises, is expected to show a 29% drop in profit when it reports on July 18.
The U.S.-listed shares of China-based electric vehicle makers were knocked lower Monday, after new COVID-related restrictions imposed in China over the weekend took a broad swipe stocks in the U.S. and China. NIO Inc.'s stock slid 3.2%, Xpeng Inc. shares shed 4.9% and Li Auto Inc.'s stock gave up 3.8%. Shares of Tesla Inc. , which generated 24.8% of its first-quarter revenue from China, rose 0.6%, but they were boosted by Chief Executive Elon Musk said over the weekend that he was terminating hi

Elon Musk pulling out of his Twitter purchase shouldn't come as a surprise. Since May the billionaire entrepreneur has been making noises that observers interpreted, correctly, as signs that he was having second thoughts about buying the social media website.
The recent decline in oil prices might appear concerning, but it is likely just a normal correction after prices had risen to unsustainable levels.
The S&P 500 has plunged over 20%. But a stock market downturn isn’t the only thing to worry about.
The market rally faces a test amid renewed China concerns. Tesla CEO Elon Musk moved to end the Twitter takeover.
